Spray
WIRE / POWDER SPRAY MARKING SYSTEM FOR HOT PRODUCTS
Green Project produces a wide range of marking machines for the hot products out of the C.C. Plants; they are based on its SPRAY technology, consisting of a moveable nozzle which sprays a special metal powder or melted wire to compose the characters, which appear bright and very well defined, as they were handwritten.
Typical applications are for slabs, blooms, billets up to 1200°C, key features are the excellent reliability and readability of the characters also from long distance (i.e. from the crane cabin).
If scale is present on marking surface, it must be removed before marking by a descaling unit; mechanical and water jet solutions are available.
SPRAY is available in two different solutions:
Powder Spray
POWDER SPRAY is based on the spray of a special white metal powder: moving the sprayer by an X-Y controlled table or a robot, the characters are written as by a human hand.
The powder is a special product specifically developed for marking at extreme temperatures; the powder supply unit assures a very reliable operation, having no moving parts. Risks of clogging are negligible and cleaning and maintenance operations are very limited and easy.
POWDER SPRAY is basically composed by :
- the spray nozzle
- the powder supply unit (including storage tank, pump, special hose)
- the pneumatic cabinet

Wire Spray
WIRE SPRAY is based on the spray of a melted metal wire: moving the sprayer by an X-Y controlled table or a robot, bright white or yellow characters are written as by a human hand. The spray unit consists of an electric arc which melts the wire and an air nozzle which sprays the drops of melted metal onto the product surface.
The main advantages of this technology are its applicability in a wide range of temperature and the excellent resistance of the marking when stored in open air.
WIRE SPRAY is basically composed by :
- the electric arc spray gun
- the wire supply unit (storage coils and automatic wire dispenser)
- the power energizer
- the pneumatic cabinet
