Flatness Measuring System for Strip
The system is designed for a semi automatic measuring of the flatness of strip in a fixed position.
The machine consists of a bridge structure overhanging the strip roller line; a laser sensor automatically moved by the machine, measures the defects dimensions, so the control system can evaluate and classify the defect.

System configuration
- Machine structure (double wide bridge) including :
- X (crosswise) axis controlled to manually select the measuring position
- Y (lengthwise) axis controlled to automatically measure the strip waveness
- Laser protection device
- Control cabinet with HMI
Functional features
The position can be verified by the visible laser spot.
All data regarding the defect are displayed on the HMI
